This new 1000 sqft build is a 2 bedroom two full bath with a dine-in kitchen, a screened in porch and a cozy courtyard. The most unique thing about this build was the layout. entry from the driveway is through a door into the screened in porch. From there, you walk into the courtyard along a concrete walkway. From there you enter the conditioned space through a set of french doors. Having a blank canvas, and a small space, we opted to create a space that felt it was much larger. The screened porch and courtyard became extensions of the conditioned living space. Experimenting textures and materials, we made use of cedar, hardie siding and smooth stucco to create our vision of a new mid century.
