This was our first project, built in 2001. Eric was inspired by Henry David Thoreau’s small cabin, and an old Irish method of using cordwood for the in-fill. The loft can be used for storage, or sleeping. Our Thoreau doesn’t have electricity or plumbing, but could easily be added to yours. A Jotul wood stove heats the cabin. The small deck is perfect for morning coffee.
